Maxime Cordet is a former Senior Research Fellow at French Institute for International and Strategic Affairs (IRIS), where he headed the Defence, Strategy and Armament Programme. He was also scientific advisor for ARES Group.
Specialised in European defence issues, defence and armament cooperation, defence and security strategy and military change.
Prior to joining IRIS, Maxime Cordet worked at the French ministry of Defence’s Directorate General for International Relations and Strategy (DGRIS), as policy officer for the European Union Desk. He coordinated and participated in French policy on Permanent Structured Cooperation, the European Defence Fund, military mobility and the implementation of mutual assistance within the European Union.
Maxime Cordet holds a master’s degree of Public Policy from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po).
