State Defence Policy and Strategy
The Defence, Strategy, Armament programme aims to provide French and European public and private stakeholders with insights into policies and strategies implemented in the field of defence. It does so through publications (studies, analyses of current affairs, infographics), videos, training sessions, and events. The programme falls within the field of strategic studies, examining ends (theories, visions, objectives), ways (the conduct of war, the employment of forces, operations), and means (military capabilities, armament, industry, funding, human resources). On matters relating to the defence industry, the programme is in relation to the European research network Armament Industry European Research Group (Ares Group), coordinated by IRIS.
