Far from forming a homogeneous bloc, these ideological movements are characterised by the intertwining of four schools of thought whose boundaries – both blurred and fluid – are constantly being redefined within the Republican Party: neo-reaction, authoritarian libertarianism, post-liberalism and Christian conservatism.
