Rémi Bourgeot is an economist and engineer. He is an associate fellow at the French Institute for International and Strategic Affairs (IRIS) and runs the geoeconomic platform epistelem.org.

His work addresses the challenges of technological development, trade strategy, and monetary balance, adopting both an international and historical perspective. He has built a career as an economist in the financial sector and as an expert on Europe and emerging markets for leading think tanks.

His analysis covers technologies and industries including AI, semiconductors, energy, and aerospace, as well as the competitive strategies of major powers in these fields. He regularly appears in French and international media and contributes op-eds to business newspapers.

Rémi is an engineer from aerospace institute ISAE-Supaéro, holds a master’s degree from the Toulouse School of Economics, and a PhD from EHESS.
