Emmanuel Hache

Emmanuel Hache is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for International and Strategic Affairs in Paris (IRIS), specialised in energy forecasting and the economics of natural resources (energy and metals). He teaches at IRIS Sup’, the IRIS school, where he is in charge of the Geopolitics and Foresight course (Bac+5 level).

Emmanuel Hache has a doctorate in economics from the University of Paris I and is qualified to direct research at the University of Paris Nanterre. He also has a degree in geopolitics.

He teaches foresight, the economics of natural resources and the geopolitics of planetary limits, as well as the emerging economies of Asia.

Emmanuel Hache is also an associate professor in a number of institutions and the organiser of the Fresque du Climat. He has written over sixty articles in refereed journals and collective works. He is the author of Géopolitique des énergies (ed. Eyrolles, Sept. 2022) and Métaux, le nouvel or noir (ed. du Rocher, Sept. 2023). The latter book won the Marcel Boiteux Prize for 2023 from the Association of Energy Economists.
