
Bruno Aubert is a Senior Research Fellow at IRIS and a specialist in French diplomacy, particularly in Africa and the Middle East.
After working as a researcher in Yemen and serving as an expert for the United Nations in Saudi Arabia, Bruno Aubert embarked on a diplomatic career in 1989. He has held positions as an adviser and deputy head of mission at embassies in Algiers and Rabat, cultural and cooperation counsellor in Rome, as well as adviser on North Africa and the Middle East in the office of the Minister for Foreign Affairs and at the Directorate for Strategic Planning.
He has served as the French Ambassador to Sudan, Iraq, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
