This map shows the distribution of firearm-related deaths by state in the United States. It shows that the Midwest and Southeast regions of the United States are particularly affected by the problem of firearm-related deaths. Furthermore, mass shootings are fairly widespread across the United States, although they are more prevalent in the most populous cities and regions.
