Webconference organised by IRIS.

2025 will mark the 10th anniversary of the Paris Climate Agreement, the Sustainable Development Goals and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda. These events will take place against a backdrop in which the prospects for international cooperation and successful implementation of these initiatives seem increasingly uncertain, as multilateralism appears to be in crisis. The United States’ withdrawal from the Paris Agreement further jeopardizes the international community’s efforts to tackle the climate emergency.

The webinar will review the challenges set by the Paris agreements, take stock of what has been achieved and look at the climate diplomacy of the main players involved, including France, Japan and EU, questioning their ability to mobilize the international community sufficiently.
