This round table, featuring a panel with Naval Chiefs (Bangladesh, Fiji, France and Nigeria), explores the contribution of Navies and Coast Guards to the resilience of oceans and coastal areas in the face of climate change and environmental challenges, highlighting diverse regional realities. The event will showcase concrete examples of operations carried out worldwide, including humanitarian assistance and relief efforts following environmental disasters, combating illegal fishing and its long-term impacts on local ecosystems, and monitoring and protecting marine areas. These missions illustrate Navies’ critical role in strengthening environmental resilience, safeguarding biodiversity, and ensuring the sustainable ocean management, fostering cooperation with the ocean community.
