Over the last few weeks, Columbia University has found itself a target of the Trump administration and once again at the center of a long discussion about antisemitism on campus, the war in Gaza and student (and non-student) protest. To fully and clearly understand these events, something that sadly many people are not interested in doing, it is essential to understand several ideas at once.
