Alain Filipowicz is an Associate Research Fellow at IRIS and an innovation support consultant.

He is a graduate engineer of the  École Polytechnique and the Institut Supérieur de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace and devotes himself to writing and various aspects of innovation.

After a career as an armaments engineer, where he held various positions at the DGA (French Defense Procurement Agency), the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, in engineering school management, and at the CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research), he became a consultant and continued his career in the automotive industry. His preferred technologies are embedded and connected systems and artificial intelligence.

He is president of GIPI, the industrial innovation club, a senior member of the SEE (French Society for Electronics, Computer sciences and Telecommunications), and a volunteer at Instant Science. He is also a reserve officer serving as a technology advisor to the staff of the army.
