The IRIS is a French research centre for international and strategic studies. Its team of experts, its networks and the quality of the analyses it conducts make the IRIS a privileged corporate partner for international development and a credible interlocutor for institutions.

Established in 1991 and directed by Pascal Boniface, the activities of the IRIS cover four main sectors:

- Strategic studies for institutions and companies
- Organisation of events
- Professional and initial training
- Publication of works on international issues

The IRIS team is made up of approximately forty members, over half of whom are experts in their fields. Through its various exchanges with foreign research centres, the IRIS has been successful in building a network of experts across the world and thereby broadering its scope of activity.

The IRIS is an entirely independent association, pursuant to French 'Loi 1901' legislation. It is financed by public (research studies, consultation notes) and private contracts (sponsoring, consulting).
