Daniel HAMILTON
Director of the Center for Transatlantic Relations at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University - Executive Director of the American Consortium on EU Studies (ACES)
Dr. Daniel Hamilton is the Richard von Weizsäcker Professor and Director of the Center for Transatlantic Relations at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins University ; and Executive Director of the American Consortium on EU Studies.
He is the host of The Washington Post/Newsweek International's online discussion feature Next Europe. He has served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs, responsible for NATO, OSCE and transatlantic security policy; and Associate Director of the Policy Planning Staff.
He is the lead author for Alliance Reborn : An Atlantic Compact for the 21st Century (February 2009), a project of four U.S. think tanks. Other recent publications include The Transatlantic Economy (2009) ; France and Globalization (2008) ; and The Wider Black Sea in the 21st Century (2008).
